Privacy Policy for Volume Booster: Bass & EQ
This Privacy Policy describes how Volume Booster: Bass & EQ ("the app") handles information when you use the Android application package com.volumebooster.gante.
Overview
The app is designed to apply audio enhancement settings on your device, including boost, equalizer presets, bass adjustment, voice clarity, wider sound controls, saved sound profiles, smart listening modes, and related playback controls.
The app does not require you to create an account and does not ask you to submit your name, email address, contacts, photos, or location directly to the developer.
Some features, such as premium onboarding, per-device profiles, quick-settings controls, home-screen widgets, and backup or restore of presets, work entirely on your device unless Google Play services are needed for billing or app distribution.
The app may also offer shortcuts such as Change output, Bluetooth device access, and links into Android hearing or sound settings. These actions open Android system interfaces on your device and are intended only to help you reach relevant system controls faster.
Information stored on your device
To provide its features, the app may store the following data locally on your device:
- audio settings such as boost level, bass level, equalizer values, voice clarity, virtualizer settings, and limiter preferences;
- saved custom presets, exact device profiles, and output-route sound profiles;
- app preferences such as language selection, onboarding choices, quick mode state, widget or tile state, and warning dialog choices;
- purchase state needed to unlock premium features when reported by Google Play Billing.
This information is used to make the app work and restore your chosen settings on the device.
If you choose to export a backup, the app creates a file only at the location you choose through the Android system file picker. If you choose to import a backup, the app reads only the file you explicitly select.
Permissions used by the app
- MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS to apply audio enhancement settings.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS to show the foreground-service notification while the app is actively enhancing audio.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE, and WAKE_LOCK to keep user-initiated audio enhancement running while you use the feature.
The app does not use the microphone to record audio and does not access your files, contacts, precise location, or camera.
The app may also offer an optional quick-settings tile, home-screen widget, and shortcuts into relevant Android system settings. These features operate on the device and are intended only to help you launch or control user-initiated audio features more quickly.
On supported devices, the app may offer a shortcut to Android system hearing settings for controls such as mono audio or left/right balance. The app does not directly read or modify those system accessibility settings itself unless the Android platform explicitly exposes such support through standard system behavior.
Purchases and Google Play Billing
Premium purchases and subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing. When you make or restore a purchase, Google may process purchase-related and technical data under its own terms and privacy policies.
The app uses this purchase information only to determine whether premium features should be available on your device.
Data sharing
The developer does not sell your personal data. The app is not designed to upload your audio settings, media content, or personal files to the developer's servers.
Third-party services provided by Google, such as Google Play Billing and Google Play app distribution infrastructure, may process data as needed to deliver their services.
If you export a backup to a third-party storage provider or cloud drive available through the Android system picker, that file is then governed by the storage provider you chose and by your device or account settings for that provider, not by the developer.
Data retention and deletion
Audio settings, presets, sound profiles, and similar preferences used by the app are stored locally on your device and are retained only for as long as they remain in the app's local storage on that device.
You can remove this local data at any time by clearing the app's data in Android system settings or by uninstalling the app. Because the developer does not operate a server for this app, the developer does not maintain a separate server-side copy of your local audio settings or presets.
If you create exported backup files, those files remain wherever you saved them until you delete them yourself. The developer does not receive or keep a remote copy of exported backup files.
Purchase status is handled through Google Play Billing and may remain associated with your Google account according to Google's systems and policies, which is why premium purchases may be restored on eligible devices through Google Play.
On some supported Android devices, system-level backup features may also back up app data as part of the device owner's Android backup settings. That behavior is controlled by Android and your device or Google account settings, not by the developer.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13. If your target audience selection in Google Play changes in the future, this policy should be reviewed and updated accordingly.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Material updates will be reflected on this page by changing the "Last updated" date.
